At the Robert M. Kerr Food and Agricultural Products Center (FAPC), faculty and staff bring expertise to life by supporting the innovation and growth of food and agricultural products. The Cowboy Meats Retail Store gives customers a chance to experience that expertise firsthand.
Offering more than 40 cuts of locally processed meats, Cowboy Meats provides a wide selection—from fresh cuts to smoked favorites like sausages, bacon and boudin. Every product is processed in FAPC’s meat plant, which serves as both a training facility and a working production center.
What makes Cowboy Meats unique is its student-driven operation. Oklahoma State University students are involved at every stage—harvest, fabrication, processing, packaging, labeling, marketing and sales—gaining real-world, hands-on experience in the meat and food industries.
Proceeds from Cowboy Meats directly support FAPC’s educational programs, including livestock judging, meat judging, meat science and food science courses, as well as student employment opportunities.
The Cowboy Meats Retail Store is open Fridays from 1–5 p.m. at FAPC. Free temporary parking is available for all customers. Payments are accepted by check or credit card.
